General Considerations

1. Determine your calling patterns (outbound). If you make most of your calls in-state, you might save money with regional plan. If you travel a lot out of state, then a national plan might make more sense. If you call a limited number of people frequently, look for plans that offer discount/free calling to people in "your network."
2. Keep in mind that Web Browsing and Email usage requires an additional messaging/data service plan which is over and above your voice service plan.
3. Don't forget about telecommunication "taxes and surcharges" which automatically adds to the cost of any service plan. Ask your carrier for estimated taxes and surcharges.
4. Spend the money and get a good case to "protect" your cell phone so when you inevitably drop it, your world does not fall apart.
